This vinyl pinstripe trim knife uses #10 Curved X-Acto blades available online or at many hobby shops.  These blades can retain their edge for many installations.

A curved blade helps to avoid scoring paint.  Traditional knife blades are straight blades with points that encourage users to start the cut with the point rather than a gently curved blade.
